Jeff Masten

You will rarely find Jeff in the office. More likely, you’ll find him deep in the creek, treading carefully near wetlands, or walking a property with a landowner. Jeff has conserved thousands of acres in Durham, including the development of the Horton Grove Nature Preserve, doubling the size of the Stagville State Historic Site, and building the partnership for the acquisition of the New Hope Creek Preserve. With 20 years of conservation planning in the Triangle, and a degree in city and regional planning, Jeff integrates thoughtful conservation planning and decision-making with appropriate sustainable community development. At ECWA, Jeff works with ECWA’s land protection team to develop conservation goals corresponding with community needs and centered on water quality in Ellerbe Creek and its tributaries.

Contact Jeff about protecting land around Ellerbe Creek and conservation tools that can support your family’s goals.
