THANK YOUS!

Big thanks to everyone who came out for our MLK Day of Service at the Beaver Marsh on January 20th! We teamed up with United Way for one of our biggest stewardship days ever with close to 100 volunteers! Volunteers came from Durham Ushers Union Youth Group, the NC School of Science and Math, the NC Sierra Club Headwaters Group, UNC, and ECWA members, among others.

Thank you to Milo Pyne for leading a Dendrology hike on Sunday January 26. We truly appreciate that Milo comes out every year - snowy, icy or sunny- to lead this informative and fun hike! We had a beautiful and warm winter day this year. It was wonderful to be outside, and walk through the woods as Milo taught us how to identify shrubs and trees along the trail. Thank you to all who joined us too! We hope you enjoyed our educational meander through the woods.

Thank you to the wonderful Brownies of Troop 1757 that came out for a clean-up at 17-Acre Wood on February 2. The girls had a great time, and are looking forward to coming out again soon!

Thank you to all the volunteers who came out for the re-scheduled work day at 17-Acre Wood on Feb. 22 as our first date was snowed out! Thirty-one volunteers from the Watts Hospital-Hillandale Neighborhood, NC Sierra Club Headwaters Group, and neighboring communities came out for a very productive workday! We really appreciate everyone's generosity in leading a helping hand at the Stewardship Day.
