Ellerbe & Me: Dave Cook's Story

Ellerbe Creek Watershed Association is hundreds of people from across Durham and beyond working hard to make Ellerbe a clean and healthy creek that supports people and wildlife. Thank you for being one of those people who cares about the creek.

Dave Cook is a teacher at Watts Street Elementary School in Durham. He regularly takes his students to Ellerbe Creek to be in nature and apply their classroom lessons. We’ll let Dave speak for himself as he shares his Ellerbe and Me story.

"Flow" is a student documentary film about clean water and the environmentalists working to clean and preserve Ellerbe Creek, a source feeding into Falls Lake and drinking water for Raleigh, North Carolina. The film was written, directed, filmed, edited, and produced by Mansi Shah in Professor Todd Taylor's ENGL 318 in the fall of 2104 at UNC Chapel Hill.
