Directions to the 17 Acre Wood Nature Preserve

From I-85 in Durham

  1. Take the Hillandale Road exit (#174) and turn South on Hillandale Road.
  2. At the North end of the Hillandale Golf Course turn left on Indian Trail.
  3. Indian Trail ends at a T-junction, turn Right onto Albany.
  4. Almost immediately on the left if Perennial Drive.
  5. You will see a kiosk marking the trail.
  6. Alternately you can park at the Indian Trail Park (off of Indian Trail between Hillandale and Albany) and walk to the kiosk on the trail system.
  7. Cross a bridge and turn left and you will very shortly reach Albany at Perennial.

From the Durham Expressway in Durham

  1. Take the Hillandale Road exit and turn North on Hillandale.
  2. Just past the Hillandale Golf Course turn right onto Indian Trail.
  3. Indian Trail ends at a T-junction, turn Right onto Albany.
  4. Almost immediately on the left if Perennial Drive.
  5. You will see a kiosk marking the trail.
